Sharath on ahimsa

Ahimsa means being non-violent in word, thought, or action. It means not causing pain to other living beings, which includes animals, insects, and plants. If we establish non-violence in our daily lives, all conflict will come to an end. We have a saying in Kannada, my mother tongue: ‘It takes two hands to clap and make a sound.’ With just one hand, no sound is made. So, if you do not react when someone has a conflict with you, then the conflict will end–no clap, no noise.”
